Dear Students;
There have been great changes in the basic factors in life, especially in the diet, associated with the rapid development of technology and social structure, which changes in parallel with industrialization. A noticeable increase in the frequency and the number of diseases connected with nutrition in developing countries, notably in developed countries, has occurred. This situation, which the century brought along, can be remedied with the effective health-related studies in many fields of the occupational group, in which you, our valuable students, who have studied in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics with a comprehensive teaching process in the field of health, including basic medicine, clinical medicine and nutritional sciences will be active with the title of Dietitian as of the moment of graduation.
When you graduate from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, you will take an important role during scientific activities in the academic environment or during active service in the field, in increasing the knowledge level and life quality of the society, in ensuring nutritional sustainability, in the mother-child nutrition, nutrition of old people, athlete's nutrition, nutrition of dialysis patients, enteral and parenteral nutrition, dietary treatment of diseases, in performing of practices that do not derange the health by institutions providing mass nutrition, and preventive medicine practices.
You, our valuable students who are aware of the responsibility of the dietitian profession and who have chosen and will choose our department, We sincerely hope to see you as a "Dietitian" who is committed to ethical values, respectful to the individual and society, beneficial to their country, has the knowledge to carry their profession further in the national and international platform, enquirer, does research, learner and updates their knowledge both as a student and in the career after the graduation.
