“Solar energy projects are significant for a sustainable future”

Turkiye's strong moves in the energy sector were revealed once again with the "2023 Electricity Market Sector Report" recently announced by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Evaluating the report, which gives ideas about the year 2024 and beyond, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yıldırım and Businessman Ahmet Emre Cengiz stated that 99.5 percent of the 2858 megawatts of renewable energy increase recorded in 2023 is due to solar energy projects. These projects serve as an important bridge in reducing Turkiye's dependence on energy imports, ensuring its economic independence and building a sustainable future.

With its clean energy projects carried out in recent years, Turkey creates positive effects not only for the energy sector, but also in the fields of economy, employment and technology. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Yıldırım and IGU Continuing Education Center Advisory Board Member Ahmet Emre Cengiz evaluated Turkey's investments in the future with clean energy projects.
