  ”Dreaming the Future with Russian Avantgarde Art and Design“ Exhibition


Technical visits were organized to the exhibition ”Dreaming the Future with Russian Avantgarde Art and Design“ at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum with the participation of the students of the departments of Graphic Design and Communication Design at İstanbul Gelişim University.


 
The technical excursion was added to the weekly lesson plans of the department students within the scope of the Department of Graphic Design and Communication Design of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelişim University. The exhibition was completed with the exhibition entitled "Dreaming the Future with Art and Design".
 
The exhibition, which was held at Sabancı University SSM, is represented by over 500 works reflecting the period of the Russian avant-garde, which has a unique position with its developmental line and the different relationship established by the avant-garde currents of Western art. Art Management, Sabancı University SSM Director The exhibition by Nazan Ölçer is curated by the State Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki and the Director of the George Costakis Collection Maria Tsantsanoglou. Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Tatlin, Vasily Kandinski, Olga Rosanova, Liubov Popova, who followed the path of the Russian avant-garde from the 1900s to the end of the 1930s, brings together the works of the period's decisive names.
The George Costakis Collection, home to the Thessaloniki Museum of Contemporary Art, is one of the most comprehensive collection of Russian avant-garde collections and archives. Gis Dreaming of the Future with Art and Design ece is the foundation of the exhibition. The exhibition includes works borrowed from the well-known European private collections and post-Revolutionary porcelain collection from the Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art.
 
Russian Avant-garde Exhibition can be visited until 1 April 2019.
