Visual Communication Design (Master) (Thesis)








 The Year-End Exhibition was Held as part of the Design Studies Course!


The projects prepared by the students within the scope of the Design Studies II course given by Özgür Ahmet Köse, Lecturer and Brand Storyteller from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Communication and Design Department, were exhibited at the end of the year.


The aim of the Design Studies course is to develop various visual communication analysis strategies by using the knowledge of this science in the construction and application of communication design principles and to design a comprehensive project in line with the information learned for four years. The content of this course includes developing various visual communication analysis strategies using the knowledge of communication and design sciences and making designs using advanced computer programs, information-communication technologies and programs, in the construction and application of sustainable design principles.
 
The theme of the exhibition, determined by Özgür Ahmet Köse, can be expressed as “No War”. Within the scope of the Design Studies II course, the NO WAR and themed designs made by the 4th Grade Communication and Design Department students were prepared with intense efforts throughout the semester. At the end of the term, Lecturer and Brand Storyteller Özgür Ahmet Köse were selected as the best works and presented to the audience at the end of the year exhibition. The designers of the selected works can be listed as follows: İrem Fatma Dede, Melek Gülşen, Melih Can Yıldız, Sarp Atakan Çevik, Aylin Şahin, Çağrı Ulutaş, Gülben Alkan, Yağmur Coşkun and Zeynep Fırat.
 
Lecturer and Brand Storyteller Özgür Ahmet Köse, Res. Asst. Ayten Bengisu Cansever and 4th grade students of Communication Design Department held the exhibition on 18 June 2022 in Istanbul Gelişim University J Blok Tower Foyer Area. The exhibition, which is open to visitors all day long, was highly appreciated.
 
Özgür Ahmet Köse stated that “The 'No War' themed exhibition was prepared as a social awareness project and that the display of these emotional works is an important gain in terms of motivation of the students.
