Applications from 116 countries were received for the Büyük Taarruz (Great Attack) International Short Film Festival, where Director Ahmet Bikic, a faculty member of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Communication and Design Department, was the Festival Director. Among 3055 films, 24 films were selected by the preliminary jury. One of the members of the preliminary jury, Department of Communication and Design Res. Asst. Büşra Kamacıoğlu shared her views on the process.
Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive, the Büyük Taarruz (Great Offensive) International Short Film Festival awards, organized under the auspices of the Afyonkarahisar Governorate, with the contributions of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, found their owners. As the main jury, Metin Günay, Mehmet Bozdağ, Gani Müjde, Cengiz Bozkurt, Doğacan Ümit Karaca, Eylem Kaptan and Filiz Kaptan participated in the festival. Res. Asst. Büşra Kamacıoğlu also contributed as a preliminary jury. In total, 3055 films were evaluated. Among these films, 10 foreign films and 14 local films were selected as finalists.

As a member of the preliminary jury, Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Communication and Design Res. Asst. Büşra Kamacıoğlu expressed her views on the pre-evaluation process of the Great Attack International Short Film Festival as follows:
“There was a lot of interest in the Great Offensive International Short Film Festival. Film applications from various countries, different ages and professions, and various themes were received. It was a very enjoyable process to watch and evaluate the films. I congratulate our teacher Ahmet Bikiç, who is the festival director, and the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) who took part in many fields and made their contributions.”
