At the opening reception of the exhibition and conference on “Memory Spaces, Museums: Architecture and Exposition” held within the scope of Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, T.C. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan also took part. Speaking at the opening reception, Mr. Demircan:
“The region we are in is not such an ordinary region. When there was no air, no land, no railway in Istanbul, there was a way: the sea route. What was that too? It was Tophane Harbour. While the silhouette of Istanbul comes from Sarayburnu in the stories of all western travelers, it is the dream of a ship docking here. This is the entry point of Istanbul. After all, would Istanbul be without the Bosphorus, without seagulls, without the smell of the sea? Impossible. Here, in fact, the work done is to re-enact history,” he said.

Information about the world's most important museums was introduced to the audience with the Heritage Istanbul Cultural Road Festival's exhibition themed "Memory Spaces, Museums: Architecture and Exhibit". It should be one of the most important strategies for museums that capture the moment to be recognized more in Turkey and to create a social living space within the museum.
