The Communication and Design Department of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), took part in the university’s Proud event with its completed projects. The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their academic and practical work while sharing their experiences. It also contributed to the promotion of innovative projects.
As part of the event, Fatih Kerem Vural, a 4th-year student in the Communication and Design Department, successfully completed the project titled "User Experience Design of Disaster Management Mobile Applications in Turkey" under the supervision of Research Assistant Dr. Büşra Kılıç. The project emphasized the importance of providing a user-friendly mobile experience during disasters and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of existing applications in terms of user experience. The study offered valuable insights into how digital solutions can be made more effective in disaster management.
During the award ceremony for completed projects at the Proud event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the project team. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the projects, and the students’ work attracted great interest. The event enabled students to present their academic projects, network with industry professionals, and establish important connections for future career opportunities.
As IGU Faculty of Fine Arts continues to support students' academic achievements, it also aims to encourage their professional development through such events. The Communication and Design Department remains open to various academic and industry collaborations to help students create innovative projects and develop their professional skills.
