The Communication and Design Department continues its activities within the scope of Sector Meetings online during the pandemic process.
Dolunay, who studies the relationship between technology and design, provided our students with up-to-date and detailed information on how technology has followed since the past and how it affects our communication. According to Dolunay, in this process from Industry 1.0 to Industry 4.0, the addition of facts such as cyber systems, the Internet of things, the increase in the use of social media channels, and the change in sales and marketing dynamics have also affected the design processes and some expectations have arisen. Based on these expectations, he focused on what his communication and design students can do and how they should prepare themselves.
Ahmet Dolunay also mentioned the achievements of technology in the seminar. He conveyed to our students that artificial intelligence has started to come into play and in which areas there are changes, and that this situation can be turned into a positive. While one of the question marks in our students' minds was about unemployment, Dolunay mentioned that these artificial intelligence systems cannot work without humans, and in this case, human power will be needed again.
