 Res. Asst. Ayten Bengisu Cansever to Receive "Emerging Scholar Award"!


Ayten Bengisu Cansever, a Research Assistant at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Communication and Design, has been honored with the "Emerging Scholar Award" at the 19th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences.


Ayten Bengisu Cansever, a Research Assistant at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Communication and Design, has been honored with the "Emerging Scholar Award" at the 19th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. The conference, hosted by Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, on July 17, 2024, is considered the second oldest higher education institution in Central Europe. The "Emerging Academician Award" to be presented at the conference is specifically designated for young academics pursuing postgraduate studies. Among the recipients of this award, including communication scholars continuing their doctoral studies from countries such as the UK, Spain, the United States, Colombia, and India, is Ayten Bengisu Cansever from Turkey.

Cansever, who actively researches the designated theme for each conference, will fulfill crucial responsibilities as part of the "Emerging Academician Award," such as managing parallel sessions, providing technical assistance, and presenting research papers. Her success in these vital roles is anticipated.

At the conference, Cansever will present a poster titled "A Historical Analysis of Communication Sciences in the Context of Social Sciences: Theoretical Evolution and Interpretive Perspectives." This study focuses on the historical development of communication sciences within the realm of social sciences, exploring theoretical evolution and interpretive perspectives.
