 New and innovative courses for Communication and Design students


Istanbul Gelişim University's Faculty of Fine Arts expands its curriculum with 11 innovative courses added to the Communication and Design Department for the year 2024. These courses aim to equip students with skills such as creative thinking, media analysis, and data processing, enhancing their competitiveness in the industry.


The Communication and Design Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), continues to offer diverse and innovative courses tailored to its students' needs. Starting in 2024, the new additions to the curriculum aim to provide students with creative skills and expertise in areas like media, design, and data analysis. Below are details about the newly introduced courses:

New Courses and Their Descriptions

 
  1. ILT475 - 3D Graphic Animation I: This course introduces students to the fundamentals of 3D modeling and animation techniques, enabling them to develop creative projects.

  2. ILT476 - 3D Graphic Animation II: A continuation of 3D animation, this course delves into advanced techniques, allowing students to deepen their creative processes through animation projects.

  3. ILT488 - Mass Communication Theories: This course explores mass communication tools and their societal impacts, offering students a theoretical foundation to understand the media-society relationship.

  4. ILT489 - Theories of Persuasion: Examining persuasion processes and their applications in mass communication, this course teaches various persuasion techniques and their effects.

  5. ILT490 - Media and Consumer Culture: This course analyzes the effects of media on consumer culture and explores how media content influences consumer behavior.

  6. ILT491 - Image Management: Focused on personal and corporate image management strategies, this course aims to enhance students’ skills in creating and managing images.

  7. ILT492 - AI-Assisted Design: Concentrating on utilizing AI technologies for creative designs, this course aims to improve the efficiency of the design process.

  8. ILT493 - Branding Courses: Covering the basics and strategies of branding, this course helps students develop knowledge of brand creation and management.

  9. ILT494 - 2D Animation Production Techniques with Computers: Teaching 2D animation techniques and their application in digital environments, this course enables students to create innovative animation projects.

  10. ILT495 - The Future of AI and Visual Design: Exploring the relationship between AI and visual design, this course provides insights into emerging design trends and technologies.
