Hello Hande. You are one of our successful and active students in our department. Therefore, first of all, we congratulate you. Can you briefly tell us about yourself?
Hello, first of all I would like to thank you very much. I am Hande Pala, a 3rd year student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Department of Communication Design. I live in Istanbul with my family, I have 2 very cute dogs and 1 parakeet. I have a fun and busy life with them.
Why did you choose the Department of Communication and Design?
Since my childhood, I always dreamed of my own name in the credits of movies and TV series, I wanted to be behind the camera and see the set environment, and at the same time, I was very interested in drawing and producing something. That's why I came across the Department of Communication Design as a result of my intensive research, and I immediately decided and made my choice; it was almost as if the department was cut out for me. I am extremely happy with the decision I have made, I can say that it is the department and profession of our future.
Why did you choose Istanbul Gelişim University for the Department of Communication and Design?
One of the most important factors for me to choose Gelisim University was the possibility of internship abroad and Erasmus. At the same time, having experienced and very successful educators in its academic staff was one of the other important factors in my choosing Istanbul Gelişim University.
What does our department and university mean to you?
They say our university is the school's second home for me. It is such a fun and educational, very active section in our department. I can say that I come to school by running to my lessons.
In which fields do you aim to work when you graduate? What are your plans?
My first goal after successfully completing my department will be to do a master's degree in the field of cinema and TV. I also have a short film project in mind, I hope I will realize it as soon as possible. I want to start my career as a good director. I aim to be a self-confident, disciplined, successful and strong female director.
What would be your most important advice to our prospective candidates?
Istanbul Gelisim University provides the best opportunities you can think of for us students, be it academic staff or study abroad. I feel very lucky to have studied Communication and Design at Istanbul Gelişim University. My friends who will choose are very lucky already, "The Future with Gelişim is in their hands".
