Prof. Dr. Melis Boyacı participated with a picture. 13 artists from Turkey participated in the exhibition, which includes artists from many different countries, from France to Spain, and from Colombia to North Korea.

Melis Boyacı shared the following statements about her painting in the exhibition:

“I was affected by the mental turmoil that affected me during the pregnancy of a friend who is officially pregnant. The picture oscillates between two opposing emotions. One is anxiety and the tension and uneasiness created by this worry; the other is hope and the excitement that this hope feeds. Although the painting comes out of the process I lived with my friend, it oscillates between these two opposite feelings, which start from the moment every woman learns that she is pregnant. From the moment every woman learns that she has a soul inside her, her feelings constantly fluctuate between worry and joy in an extremely emotional process. The reason why you go back and forth between these two moods is the love and protection instinct you feel for the soul that has developed within you. This state of restlessness and anxiety arising from the responsibility towards the soul that grows inside contains many questions: Will she be able to give a good life, provide her education, will she be a good mother, how can she improve herself to raise her well, what to read, what to eat for good development. how to set it up, what to pay attention to etc. Many questions occupy your mind like a whirlpool. On the other hand, the joy and excitement of carrying a life in your body come from the hope of carrying a life for the future, which also gives a woman endless power."
