The International Siirt Short Film Festival, first held in 2018 and then for its fifth edition in 2022, garnered significant interest from both the local community and the surrounding area. The festival played a crucial role in highlighting the public's longing for art and showcasing the beautiful artistic journey intertwined with Anatolia. Building on the success of this past, the 6th International Siirt Short Film Festival aims to focus on new initiatives that cater to Turkey's and Anatolia's artistic needs. Additionally, Istanbul Gelişim University, which values art and artists, contributes to the organization of the festival.

The festival aims to conduct an in-depth examination of the phenomenon of Turkish cinema and chart the future roadmap for our country's cinematic language. Furthermore, it has planned an organization filled with events, including films from different countries, the participation of experienced directors, various workshops, film screenings, and engaging discussions.
