Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Turkish Language and Literature Department has prepared a book on the 50th anniversary of the pass away of the famous Turkish folk poet Âşık Veysel. This study, titled Anadolu’nun Sesi ve Sözü: Âşık Veysel, prepared under the editorship of Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Ekşi, one of the academicians of IGU Turkish Language and Literature Department, consists of articles written by the faculty members of our department and not published elsewhere before. The book includes the works of Res. Asst. Kemal Çinko, Asst. Prof. Dr. Şerefnur Atik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hacer Gülşen, Asst. Prof. Dr. Elife Ateş, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Ekşi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Türkan Korkmaz Bulut and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gamze Ilıcak and Res. Asst. Kemal Çinko, respectively.
As IGU Turkish Language and Literature Department, we once again respectfully commemorate our famous Turkish folk poet Âşık Veysel on the 50th anniversary of his passing away.
