The most important symbol of Kaşgarlı Mahmut’s service to the Turkish language and the first dictionary of the Turkish language, Dîvânu Lugâti’t-Türk is one of the most important works that contains the vocabulary of the Turkish language and the grammatical rules of the period and reveals the richness and historical depth of the Turkish language by examining the dialect characteristics of the Turkish communities in detail. Beyond being a dictionary, the work is an encyclopedic work that contains information about Turkish history, geography, mythology and folklore.
