Turkey's 4th Mall Library Opened in Istanbul
Turkey's 4th shopping mall library was opened with a ceremony attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
Stating that there are 1264 libraries in Turkey, 57 of which are mobile, Minister Ersoy stated that libraries are doors to areas of interest and that exhibitions, seminars, conferences and training workshops can be held in libraries. He also stated that 'readturkey', Turkey's first online international literature and publishing promotion portal, 'e-kitap.gov.tr', the first platform of public publishing, and 'Kütüphanem Çepte', an online library application, will be completed by the end of the year.
