Tourists' demand for holidays in Turkey increased during the winter months

Reservations for the winter season increased by 20-25 percent compared to last year.

Mehmet İşler, Vice President of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, explained that Turkey had a very good tourism season despite the Russia-Ukraine War and the contraction in the world's energy and food sectors. Noting that Turkey, taking the right steps in tourism, has overcome the crises, İşler pointed out that the number of tourists this season is the biggest indicator of the success that Turkish tourism has achieved by collaborating with the state against crises and problems.

Stating that the activity in the summer months will also be reflected in the winter, İşler said, "When the Europeans come to our country, by subjecting themselves to many formulations such as detox and botox, which we call healthy aging, they both avoid expensive energy bills and provide a very good service and healthy nutrition as they want, as well as to become beautiful. He will go to his country by taking some activities and actually leaving money in his pocket." made its assessment.

Stating that Turkey is taking initiatives to increase the number of tourists from Europe, İşler said: "Right now, reservations for the winter season have increased by 20-25 percent compared to last year. With this slogan, tourism professionals found a new formulation to market our SPA, wellness facilities, health centers, detox, botox and diet menus. This formula seems to have taken off."

Also, noting that 2022 will close with an estimated 47 million tourists, İşler said, "If we consider this winter operation, Turkish tourism will catch 53 million tourists in 2023. The new target of Turkish tourism will be 53 million in 2023, and I believe we will achieve this." He said that next year will be more active.
