 Tourism will be at the center of the world's economic recovery


The Travel and Tourism private sector was invited to the G20 Tourism Ministers meeting today, where the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) addressed the Group of Twenties in Bali, Indonesia.


In her speech at the critical meeting, WTTC President and CEO Julia Simpson said that as Travel & Tourism recovers after more than two years of suffering, more collaboration between the public and private sectors is needed to make a full recovery and ensure a sustainable future. .
 
Simpson told Ministers Travel and Tourism is at the center of the world's economic recovery as the global economy will grow at twice the rate in the next 10 years.
 
WTTC's latest research shows that the future looks bright, with more than 126 million jobs created worldwide over the next decade, despite the devastating impact of COVID-19 on Travel and Tourism.
 
According to the research, two-thirds of these jobs will be created in G20 countries and 82 million Travel and Tourism jobs will be generated by 2032.
