St. Jean Monument Excavation Works Begin

The 2021 excavations of the St. Jean Monument in Selçuk, İzmir have started. Dr. Sinan Mimaroğlu from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University will preside over the excavations, while Fırat Baranaydın from Istanbul Gelişim University will continue to be the vice president. St. Jean monument and burial site, one of the important tourism destinations of Turkey, will provide important gains to the field of archeology with the excavation findings.
