Our School Hosted Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya
MYK Gastro Arena founder Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya was the guest at the seventh of IGU Gastro Talks events. In the Gastro Talks program organized in cooperation with Istanbul Gelisim University and MYK Gastro Arena, this time a conversation was held on "The Process of Creating Brand Identity in Turkish Gastronomy and the Importance of Rating Agencies". In the event moderated by Gastronomy Departments Coordinator and our department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Serdar Egeli, plaques were presented to the leading names of the sector. Along with the plaque, the book titled Turkish Culinary Culture and Basic Recipes prepared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Egeli, Instructor Chef Erkan Kıyıcıoğlu, and Lecturer Levent Demirçakmak were also presented with the plaque. At the end of the interview, which was followed with great interest, the questions of the students were answered by Mehmet Chef. We would like to thank our professors and participants who contributed to the organization.
