 Istanbul and Antalya Airports at the Summit of Europe


The Airports Council of Europe (ACI Europe) published the air traffic report for June 2022, covering the second quarter and first half of the year.


According to the report on DHMI's website, Istanbul Airport ranked first in the list of top 10 airports in Europe with 5 million 996 thousand 71 passengers served in June 2022. Istanbul Airport maintained its leadership among the top 5 airports in Europe with an increase of 115.4 percent in passenger traffic compared to the same period of 2021. Thus, Istanbul Airport reached almost all of its pre-pandemic passenger volume.
 
Antalya Airport, on the other hand, took the 8th place in the list of top 10 airports in Europe with 3 million 911 thousand 395 passengers hosted in June 2022.
 
However, airports in Turkey showed a recovery of 96.3% in the first half of 2022 compared to the pandemic period.
