The Association of Turkish Tourist Guides (TUREB) has announced a significant achievement as part of its long-term efforts to strengthen the image and prestige of the tourism guiding profession.
According to a statement released by TUREB’s Board of Directors, new rights regarding foreign language examinations have been secured, specifically for languages that are currently not included in the ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) exam calendar.
This development is considered an important step in enhancing the professional qualifications of tourist guides. The Board also stated that processes regarding other related matters will proceed in parallel with the opening of the Grand National Assembly, as they require legal regulations.
TUREB emphasized that this accomplishment will make a valuable contribution to the tourism sector and, in particular, to the field of tourism guidance. In the statement, gratitude was expressed to the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and Deputy Minister Nadir Alpaslan for their support.
The TUREB Board of Directors conveyed its best wishes, highlighting that this success belongs to the entire tourism community.
