In the March 2026 issue of Sosyocom, from our department academics, Res. Asst. Emre Ergen discussed the topic "Social Media Addiction and Age Limit Debates" in the Techno-Agenda section, and took part in the Social Agenda section with his article titled "Reevaluating Public Relations in the Post-Truth Era". Assoc. Prof. Sarp Bağcan reviewed the movie "Zardoz (1974)" and the series "Bates Motel (2013-2017)" in the Sosyocom Shelf section; he also presented his article titled "A Critical Moment in History: The US/Israel-Iran War" to the readers in the Political Agenda section. Asst. Prof. İlknur Gümüş evaluated the book "Nerden Geliyo?" in the Sosyocom Shelf section and analyzed the work titled "Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention?" in the Book Review of the Month section. Asst. Prof. Merve Boyacı Yıldırım touched upon the topics "The Rise of Podcast Culture: The Transformation of Digital Audio Media and a New Domain in Corporate Communication" in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation section, and "Digital Fatigue: The Psychology of Being Constantly Connected and Healthy Media Use in the Digital Age" in the Health-Psychology section.
Our department students also played an active role in the bulletin with their original content. Our second-year student Zeynep Sare Ağca took part with her article titled "Globalization Is Not Dying, It Is Evolving" in the Economic Agenda; our fourth-year student Beyza Kocaoğlu wrote about the concept of "Trace", the silent narrative left by the past to the present, in the Culture Art and Literature section and introduced the "MarkaAktif (Brand Active)" club in the Time to Socialize section. While our fourth-year student Bedia Aydın examined the artificial intelligence era in her article "The Era of Artificial Intelligence in Education: From Digitalization to Mindset Transformation" in the Education-Research section; our third-year student Gamze Günde colored her university experiences with her drawings bearing traces of Japanese philosophy in the IGU Student section. Our third-year student Efe Arif Keskin shared his Double Major adventure with Political Science and Public Administration; and Durdona Botirova culturally introduced Uzbekistan's Local Delicacy: Uzbek Plov (Palov) in the Local Flavours section.
One of our graduates, Damla Kahraman (2023), took part in the IGU Graduate section and shared her career journey extending from university education to professional business life and her brand management experiences in a communication and consulting agency with the readers.
