Public Relations Students Visit Modyo TV
A technical visit was organized to Modyo TV, which broadcasts on Istanbul’s public transportation vehicles, on November 5, 2025, with students from the Department of Public Relations and Publicity. Guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarp Bağcan, Head of the Department, the students had the opportunity to observe media production processes on site.

The visit took place at Modyo TV’s broadcasting center in Istanbul.
As part of the HIT305 – Corporate Identity and Brand Management course, the event aimed to provide students with a hands-on learning experience in the media sector. The visit was held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, between 12:00 and 14:00 at Modyo TV’s Istanbul broadcasting center.
During the visit, students closely examined the broadcasting activities carried out in public transportation vehicles under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarp Bağcan. Elif Özgüzelbaş, Editor-in-Chief of Modyo TV, welcomed the students and shared detailed information about the organization’s broadcasting approach, target audience strategies, and media production processes.
An Event Linking Theoretical Knowledge with Industry Practice
Participants toured the studio areas, observing the technical infrastructure, broadcast flow planning, content production, and broadcasting control processes. Throughout the visit, students engaged in one-on-one discussions with Modyo TV staff, gaining insights into various roles and responsibilities within the media industry. In addition, informative presentations were delivered on branding and the construction of corporate identity in broadcasting.
The event contributed to connecting the students’ theoretical coursework with real-world industry practices and helped them understand the dynamics of media production firsthand. At the same time, it introduced innovative approaches in the sector through the unique model of broadcasting within public transportation.
