“Leading Steps to the Future: Career and Communication Skills Program” started with the opening speech of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarp Bağcan, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Publicity. Afterwards, the program continued with presentations by graduates of the department and a student of the department.
Çağla Erdoğan, one of our 2024 graduates, shared important information about her career as a stage manager. Erdoğan elaborated on the definitions of professions such as Play Assistant, Regie Assistant and Stage Assistant, and mentioned which talents and skills should be developed in order to be successful in this field. She also emphasized the critical importance of communication and public relations competencies for those who want to pursue a career in the arts sector.
Another of our 2024 graduates, Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Specialist Dilek Boztaş gave information about the job description of human resources expertise, career planning after graduation and talent management. Boztaş offered important tips on the opportunities and challenges that can be encountered in the career journey after graduation.
Özkan Kuru, who has a long industry experience as a business development and sales manager and is currently a 2nd year student, shared his knowledge and experience in sales and marketing. In his presentation, Kuru made a comprehensive evaluation of the sector introduction, applications from theory to practice and future trends. He also guided the participants by mentioning the methods applied in recruitment processes.
The second day of this event, which aims to increase the sharing of knowledge and experience between graduates and students, will take place on December 24 and will continue to offer new perspectives for students aiming to pursue a career in different fields.
