A comprehensive international student workshop was organized in order to increase the participation of students in assessment teams and to train students as evaluators, by adding a new one to the studies carried out for the accreditation and quality improvement of ILAD communication education.
42 students from the communication faculties of 13 universities from Azerbaijan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey attended the ILAD 1st Student Evaluator Training Workshop held online due to the pandemic.
The necessary information and training were given to the students for take part in the teams of Communication Education Evaluation Accreditation Board ILEDAK by ILAD President Prof Aysel Aziz, İLEDAK President and Istanbul Gelisim University Public Relations and Publicity Department member Prof Sacide Vural, ILEDAK Member Prof Senem Duruel Erkılıç and experienced Student Evaluator by Sercan Gündoğar.
Student evaluators conduct interviews with the students of the program evaluated during field visits and convey their impressions and student opinions to the team head, thus enabling students to participate more effectively in the accreditation processes as stakeholders.
Students who received training at the workshop will take part in the field visits to be made by ILEDAK teams during this period.
