The Department of Public Relations and Publicity hosted an informative event that will help students take an important step in their careers. "Marketing Communication Conferences: Brand Management in Marketing Communication" took place on March 15, 2024 at 12:00 at K Block Firnas Auditorium.

The event, which started with the opening speech of our department head Sarp Bağcan, aimed to provide students with comprehensive information about the public relations sector, while at the same time contributing to establishing direct connections with the sector and also making a valuable contribution to their careers. Muzaffer Ergun, Brand Director of Manifesto Communication Agency, shared his experience in the sector and offered the opportunity to learn current developments and practical information directly from an expert.

Everyone interested, especially students, was invited to the event. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the functioning of the application processes in the sector with the presentation of Mr. Muzaffer Ergun, Brand Director.

''Doing an internship at a communication agency while you are a student is a big plus when you graduate''
Mr. Muzaffer emphasized the importance of combining theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge in public relations education and stated that doing an internship in a communication agency while you are a student will provide a great advantage after graduation.

''We should be on the side that manages artificial intelligence, not the side that artificial intelligence manages.''
In addition, while evaluating the effects of artificial intelligence, one of the controversial topics of the last period, on public relations practices, he emphasized that artificial intelligence should be seen as an assistant. Otherwise, he stated that artificial intelligence will manage people, and this may lead to a uniformization.

Taking the floor again at the end of the event, Sarp Bağcan, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, emphasized the department's commitment to hosting similar events in the future and stated that students' careers will continue to be supported.
