Public Relations and Publicity Department Research Assistant Merve Boyacı Yıldırım's article titled "Enriching The Meaning With Associations In Advertisements: Semiotic Analysis Of Turkcell Fiber Advertising" was published in Gaziantep University Social Sciences Journal.


Istanbul Gelişim University Public Relations and Publicity Department Research Assistant Merve Boyacı Yıldırım's research article was published in Gaziantep University Journal of Social Sciences. In her article "Enriching The Meaning With Associations In Advertisements: Semiotic Analysis Of Turkcell Fiber Advertising", she made a visual and linguistic analysis of the advertisement of “Turkcell Fiber’den Ailelere Fiber Destek” and revealed what kind of connotations were used in order to build the minds of the consumers in the advertisement. In the article, she deciphered the statements in line with Roland Barthes's distinction. She concluded that the brand used various connotations in order to enrich its power of meaning in the advertisement.
