 YÖK 2023 University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report




The Council of Higher Education evaluated 208 universities in Turkey according to 74 different indicators. This year, for the first time, the business world's satisfaction with the qualifications of university graduates was measured. Employers' satisfaction rate with graduates was 78 percent.
 
The average time for graduates to start working was determined as 6.4 months. There was a significant increase in the number of students who graduated from universities and who prepared projects compared to previous years. According to their scientific publications, the influence of Turkish universities in the world is increasing. This year, universities were examined for the first time under the heading of "Sustainability" in terms of whether they use natural resources consciously.
 
Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), which stands out in 6 areas in the "University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report-2023" prepared by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), has water-saving and renewable energy in the "Sustainability" category, one of the evaluations made by the Council of Higher Education for the first time this year. While he is at the top with his work in his field; It maintained its first place as the university with the most accredited undergraduate programs.
 
Moving forward with the vision of "Research University" and being the university that applies for the most patents in Turkey according to 2022 data, IGU ranks 2nd in the "Patent applied for, utility model or design" category; It has achieved significant success by ranking 3rd among the universities in the category of "Number of publications cited in the top 10%" and 3rd in the category of "Number of international faculty members with doctoral degrees employed".
