The global competition unfolding over the geography of the Middle East has led the region to confront problems such as civil wars, terrorism, and irregular migration crises; this situation, in turn, drives regional actors to search for a viable future. In order to develop solution proposals for achieving political, economic, and social stability in the Middle East and to present a perspective of peace, security, and freedom for the region’s future, there is a strong need for multidimensional scientific research within the social sciences, including history, politics, and international relations.
In this context, the symposium—organized by the Istanbul Gelisim University Political and Social Research Application and Research Center (İGÜSAM) and MOKHA, in cooperation with the Public Opinion and Social Researches Application and Research Center (KTAUAM), the Yemeni Students Association, the Center for Middle East, Eurasian and Asia-Pacific Studies (ODAP), and the Departments of Political Science and Public Administration and Political Science and International Relations, will be held on 12 May 2026 at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall of Istanbul Gelisim University. The symposium aims to bring together distinguished scholars and expert researchers from different countries and to create a platform for scientific discussion based on a broad perspective.
