The hypothesis that during his presidency, Donald Trump tried to construct a new "othering" discourse against China and that the COVID-19 epidemic was instrumentalized for the reconstruction of the othering discourse is tested. In the study using discourse analysis method, social constructivism approach was used as a theoretical perspective.
