The UN Country Team (UNCT) in Myanmar made a statement that the violence against protesters resisting military coup must cease immediately. Christine Schraner arrived Bangkok/Thailand on Friday as a regional visit to strengthen a regional solidarity to resolve the crisis in Myanmar arising from military takeover. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric has also highlighted the importance of the international response and unified regional efforts towards stability in Myanmar.
