UNICEF’s report titled ‘’Fear and Flight’’ reveals the fact that children in DRC are being recruited as a child-soldier, subjected to sexual assault and deprived of fundamental human rights. It seems very complex to deliver relief assistance to children who have been compelled to live in the most insecure provinces of DCR due to factors such as instability, weakness of transport infrastructure as well as inadequateness of funding. Edouard Beigbeder- UNICEF Representative for DRC- stresses the importance of sustained humanitarian intervention and warns that displaced children are unfortunately at risk of dying from disease or malnutrition in DCR.
