 Cyber Rehabilitation


An event titled Cyber Rehabilitation was organized by the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Turkish-English Division, at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, on December 15, 2023.


An event on Cyber Rehabilitation was organized with the participation of Guest Specialist Physiotherapist Görkem AÇAR, who graduated from Istanbul Gelişim University's Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation master's program between 2021-2023.
 
The program began with the speaker, Guest Specialist Physiotherapist Görkem AÇAR, introducing himself and sharing details about his academic journey.
 
Following this, Görkem AÇAR discussed the development of Robot-Based Rehabilitation through the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired throughout his 4-year undergraduate and 2-year postgraduate education, and its relevance to the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in Turkey and globally. Some cases adapted based on this information were presented to the participants with the assistance of relevant equipment.
 
Interactive participation from students was encouraged to facilitate the event's effectiveness.
 
A question-and-answer session was held after the presentation, aiming particularly to foster engagement from students in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, to help them relate to the topic, and to aid in the accumulation of sufficient knowledge and expertise to address potential cases in this field after graduation.
 
Finally, Guest Specialist Physiotherapist Görkem AÇAR delivered a closing speech addressing the guests in the audience, offering best wishes for success in both their student and post-graduate lives. Dr. Assistant Professor Gülşah KONAKOĞLU, the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, presented a plaque, and the event concluded with the invitation of students and other faculty members onto the stage for a group photo session.
