 Multiple Sclerosis Symposium Held at Istanbul Kent University


On May 26, 2025, the “Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Multiple Sclerosis Symposium” was held at the Istanbul Kent University Kağıthane Campus, Istanbul Conference Hall. The event was organized in collaboration with Istanbul Kent University, Alpmed Healthcare Technologies and Solutions, and the Turkish Physiotherapists Association.


Academics from Various Disciplines Discussed MS

The symposium brought together experts from different disciplines to discuss Multiple Sclerosis (MS) from multiple angles. Participants shared insights on current literature and clinical approaches. The event ran from 09:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Cardiopulmonary Approaches by Prof. Dr. Zuhal KUNDURACILAR

Many academics and healthcare professionals attended the symposium. Among them was Prof. Dr. Zuhal KUNDURACILAR from Istanbul Gelişim University, who delivered a presentation titled “Cardiopulmonary Approaches in Multiple Sclerosis” from 11:00 to 11:20 AM. She emphasized the importance of evaluating and managing respiratory and cardiovascular health in MS patients.

Purpose: Raising Awareness and Fostering Scientific Collaboration

The primary goal of the symposium was to raise awareness ahead of World MS Day on May 29, share up-to-date scientific knowledge, and provide a collaborative platform for experts from diverse professional backgrounds.

Current Approaches to MS Management Shared

Throughout the event, specialists in physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, nutrition, and psychology evaluated the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life impacts of MS. Participants agreed that interdisciplinary knowledge sharing plays a vital role in effective disease management.
