VII. International New Media Conference Held Successfully
The International New Media Conference, which was organized for the seventh time this year and was held with the partnership of Radio, Television and Cinema and New Media and Communication departments, was successfully completed. The opening ceremony held on October 10-11, 2024 at K Block Firnas Auditorium was given by Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Kenan Aydın, Department Head of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department Dr. Nisa Gülener Yıldırım and Department Head of the New Media and Communication Department Dr. Taylan Maral.
More than 100 researchers made oral presentations at the conference titled Media and Social Transformation from Digital Content Production to Consumption. On the first day of the conference, Dokuz Eylül University, Prof. Savaş Arslan, and on the second day, Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro University, Assoc. Prof. Fábio Ribeiro and Istanbul Bilgi University, Prof. Erkan Saka were the opening speakers.
The conference, held face-to-face and online, was supported by TÜBİTAK.
