 The event titled "My Work 2 Educational Practices Online Conference" Was Held


Organized by Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and moderated by Associate Professor Remziye Köse Özelçi, an event titled "My Work 2 Educational Practices Online Conference" was held.


The guest of the event, which was prepared with the contributions of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Association of Cinema and TV Work Owners, was the director Mehmet Güleryüz.Güleryüz stated that the association was established in 2003 with the operating permit of the ministry and that among its members were important directors such as Metin Erksan and Ömer Lütfi Akad. Güleryüz recalled that the producers of the author before the law prior to 1995 in Turkey, according to our law, "film" or "cinematographic work" director of having any kind of work will be considered, screenwriter, said that the original music composer and composed the dialogue writer.

Güleryüz said that new and experienced no significant change in the copyright law in Turkey and he stressed that a professional association aimed at creating awareness of the copyright in the unity of the industry and society. Güleryüz also informed that they will publish a booklet on the rights of the owner and share it with the industry in the near future. Referring to the scenario contest prepared by the Association in 2020, Güleryüz has shown the short films titled First Copyright, Doyen and Happy End, which were awarded in this competition and whose short films were shot.

Güleryüz reminded that musicians often act voluntarily and helpfully regarding copyright and that students can easily get permission from the musicians whose works they want to use while shooting their own films. In the event, it was emphasized that copyrights are not only important in the field of cinema and television, but also in many areas including institutional shares such as universities. The event ended with answering the questions from the participants.
