 The Calendar of the 41st Istanbul Film Festival and the 18th Akbank Short Film Festival has been Announced


The calendar and content of this year's Istanbul Film Festival and Akbank Short Film Festival, which are followed with great interest by moviegoers every year, are starting to become clear.


A total of 2,081 short films from 68 countries applied to the competition sections of the Akbank Short Film Festival, which will be held for the 18th time this year between March 21st and March 31st. On the other hand, 692 scenario applications were submitted to the Akbank Short Film Forum script competition.
 
The international competition jury of the festival consists of director Jacqueline Lentzou, producer Nicolás Celis, documentary director Matjaž Ivanišin, producer Anna Maria Aslanoğlu and Akbank Art Manager Derya Bigalı. The main jury members of the National Competition Festival Shorts consist of actress Büşra Develi, director Nisan Dağ, actress Okan Bayülgen, cinematographer Cevahir Şahin and Akbank Art Manager Derya Bigalı. 18th Akbank Short Film Festival with 'Festival Shorts', 'Shorts from the World', 'Young Views', 'From Short to Tall', 'Experiences', 'Documentary Cinema', 'Perspective', 'Special Screening', and 'Forum' With its well-attended workshops and interviews, it will present a program that will be enjoyed by moviegoers between March 21-31, 2022.

At the 41st Istanbul Film Festival to be held by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) on April 8-19, 2022, the jury will evaluate the films of Turkish Cinema, including the National Competition, the National Documentary Competition, the National Short Film Competition and the Seyfi Teoman Best First Film Award. members were determined. The other members of the National Competition Jury chaired by Onur Ünlü are actress Demet Evgar, cinematographer Barış Özbiçer, artist and trainer İnci Eviner and producer Marsel Kalvo. Golden Tulip Best Film, Special Jury Award, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Music in the National Competition A total of 10 awards are given.
