You Can Nominate Yourself or Someone Else
Individuals may apply for the awards directly, or candidates may be nominated by educational institutions, professional organizations, or research boards. The main requirement for application is Turkish citizenship. Additionally, for nominations in the fields of natural and health sciences, works must have been published, completed, or carried out within the last five years, while for all other fields, the time frame is the past year.
Digital Submission Era
TGC has announced that digital submissions are now accepted. Applications in the categories of journalism, literature, cartoon, and sports can be submitted via USB drives. For television and radio programs, submissions must be in MP4 format and HD resolution. In the fields of social sciences, natural sciences, and health sciences, printed theses and publications must be accompanied by digital PDF versions.
Details and Application Requirements
Key application requirements include that the nominated work must belong to a single author or production and must not have previously received a Sedat Simavi Award. Only one award will be given per category, and no honorable mentions will be awarded this year either.
