Opening of Movie Theaters Postponed
In the "June Normalization Measures Circular" published by the Ministry of Interior, it was stated that the movie theaters would open on June 1 and could serve at fifty percent capacity except on Sundays.
According to the new circular published, movie theaters will be closed until July 1. The decision taken by the Ministry of Interior was announced in the circular as follows: In our relevant Circular, which determines the measures to be applied in the second phase of the gradual normalization period, it was stated that as of June 1, 2021, movie theaters will be able to operate on other days of the week except Sundays. On the other hand, as a result of the meetings held with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism officials and sector representatives, it was considered that it would be appropriate to suspend the activities of the movie theaters until 1 July 2021, taking into account the demands received for the continuation of the restriction on the activities of the movie theaters for a while and the issue of ensuring the continuity of the measures to combat the epidemic.
