 9th Bosphorus Film Festival Has Started


Organized by the Bosphorus Culture and Arts Foundation, the 9th Bosphorus Film Festival will take place between 23-30 October.


The festival which opened with Oscar-winning Bosnian director Danis Tanovic's film "Not So Friendly Neighborhood Affair", continued with the director's masterclass event held at Atlas 1948 Cinema on October 24.
 
The categories in the festival this year are: National Feature Film Competition, International Feature Film Competition, National Short Fiction Film Competition, International Short Fiction Film Competition, National Short Documentary Film Competition, International Short Documentary Film Competition. The films competing in the National Feature Film Competition category this year are: Emre Kayiş - Anatolian Leopard, Semih Kaplanoğlu - Loyalty Hasan, Sinan Sertel - The Hero in Me, Selman Nacar - Between Two Dawns, Cemil Ağaçoğlu - Cage, Erkan Tahhuşoğlu - Corridor, Muhammet Çakıral - Dark Blue Night, Ferit Karahan - School Shave, Aydın Sickle - Time of Impatience, Ahmet Toklu - Crucible. Pota, which won a screenplay award from the Antalya Film Festival and four awards in total from the Cerdanya International Film Festival, also competes in the International Feature Film Competition category at the festival. This year's National Feature Film Competition Jury of the Festival: Reis Çelik, Çiğdem Vitrinel, Vildan Atasever, Gökhan Atmış and director Erdem Tepegöz.
