The nominees of the Oscar awards given by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which will be held for the 93rd time this year, have been announced. The movie with the most nominations this year was Netflix's Mank. Mank, which will compete in 10 categories, is about the life of Herman Mankiewicz, one of the screenwriters of the 1941 film "Citizen Kane", which is considered one of the best films in the history of cinema. The Oscar awards will find their owners on April 25 at the Dolby Theater in California.
TRT Co-Production "Quo Vadis, Aida?" Movie Nominated
The Academy features "Quo Vadis, Aida?" Co-produced by TRT and directed by Bosnian director Jasmila Zbanic. nominated his film in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category. The documentary about the Srebrenica massacre in 1995 competed in important festivals such as the Venice and Toronto Film Festival. The documentary won the Best Film Award in the International Competition Section at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in October.
