Department of International Trade and Logistics Assist. Prof. Sema Mercanoğlu Erin, Department of Management Information Systems Assist. Prof. Dr. Bilge Turp Gölbaşı and Assist. Prof. Hande Ayhan Gökcek participated in the 3rd International Multidisciplinary Social Sciences Congress with their joint research titled "A Comparative Overview of E-commerce and Consumption Habits during the Covid-19 Pandemic Period" between May 4-6, 2021.
In the research on e-commerce and consumption habits, as a result of the findings, the reshaping process of e-commerce was emphasized with the change in consumer behavior during the pandemic period. In the study, it was concluded that although the general trade volume decreased by 2 billion TL in 2020 compared to 2019, the share of e-commerce in the total trade market increased by 10 billion TL.
