 Department of International Trade and Logistics organized "International Trade and Logistics Panel after the Pandemic".


The Department of International Trade and Logistics organized the panel titled "International Trade and Logistics after the Pandemic" with the participation of experts from the sector on the effects of Covid-19 on the world economy.


On Wednesday, October 27th, International Trade and Logistics Department, Mitsubishi Electric Purchasing and Logistics Manager Murat Barış and Logeast Istanbul Branch Manager Hande Akgün Eroğlu, who are experts in the logistics and trade sector, participated in the panel as speakers and explained the changes in the field of international trade and logistics after the pandemic and their predictions about the process.
 
They explained how they managed the problems that occurred in air, sea and road transportation and supply chain after the pandemic and alternative solutions. In addition, while shopping in stores decreased with the pandemic, online shopping increased. Online shopping has had a global impact. The volume of e-commerce has increased in many countries, especially in China. In addition, the structure of the demanded goods has changed. Demand for household goods, cleaning products, game consoles and personal products increased. They stated that e-commerce will continue to increase after the pandemic and that companies and industries will focus on automation processes. At the end of the panel, they answered students' questions about global trade.
