Department of International Trade and Logistics, Assist. Prof. Sema Mercanoğlu Erin and Department of Management Information Systems Assist. Prof. Dr. Bilge Turp Gölbaşı and Assist. Prof. Dr. Hande Ayhan Gökcek participated in the 5th International Academic Research Congress with their research titled "A Review of Consumer Behavior within the Scope of E-Commerce Payment Methods" between April 19-21, 2021.
In this study, which aims to explain the payment systems available in online shopping and to examine consumer behavior within the scope of preferred payment methods, it was concluded that payment methods that require less effort are used more frequently in e-commerce transactions. According to the analysis, it was determined that the first three of the most used payment methods are credit card, payment at the door and electronic fund transfer (EFT-Transfer), respectively. In addition, as a result of the research, it was concluded that when the user's confidence in payment methods increases, the amount of payment is kept higher.
