The İlkuş (Semrük) team, comprising Istanbul Gelisim University students, became a finalist at the TUSAŞ Hangar Campus with their project "Creating 3D Maps with VTOL Unmanned Aerial Vehicle," developed with the support of the IGU Technology Transfer Office.
The Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO) has undertaken many projects and collaborations with its scientific and technological studies. With the support of TTO, the project "Creating 3D Maps with VTOL Unmanned Aerial Vehicle" allowed the IGU students' team, İlkuş (Semrük), to qualify as a finalist in the "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Aviation and Space" program at the TUSAŞ Hangar Campus.
The project, developed by Istanbul Gelisim University students, aims for localization and nationalization in the field of 3D mapping, standing out with its high accuracy and low cost. It has been submitted to the Teknofest, TUSAŞ Hangar, and AOSB Sabancı R&D competitions.
