In a statement by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), it was announced that programs with the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) logo will be included in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide for the first time this year. Istanbul Gelisim University ranked first with 45 diplomas bearing the TQF logo.
As part of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) compliance efforts, YÖK has granted the right to use the TYÇ logo on graduation certificates for programs meeting certain criteria since December 23, 2021. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), advancing with the vision of being a 'World University,' leads the list with 45 graduation certificates bearing the TYÇ logo, which provides international employment opportunities.
This year, programs with the TQF logo will be included in the Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide for the first time. Across Turkey, 894 bachelor's and 4 associate degree programs from 109 universities will use the TYÇ logo in the 2024 Guide. To be included in the guide, the relevant departments of universities must be accredited by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) or recognized accreditation organizations, meet the requirements of the qualification form, and be listed in the Turkish Qualifications Database of the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK).
The TYÇ Logo on graduation certificates provides significant international advantages for students. Diplomas from these programs are recognized more quickly abroad, increasing employment opportunities. Additionally, the TYÇ Logo facilitates the recognition of higher education internship qualifications and study periods abroad, contributing to student mobility.
