Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that the locally developed Electronic Flight Strip and Digital Air Traffic Controller Clearance (EFS/DCL) System, which digitizes air traffic control, is now actively used in 29 airports. He stated that the system has saved 2.5 million euros since 2022.
This digital system replaces paper-based processes, reducing the workload of air traffic controllers, minimizing errors, and enhancing flight safety. Additionally, by reducing radio communication traffic, it allows pilots to receive departure clearance digitally, preventing communication errors.
The system significantly improves air traffic management efficiency, particularly in busy airports such as Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Esenboğa, and Adnan Menderes. It also boosts operational efficiency and accelerates flight operations.
Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that the system has reached a competitive level in the international aviation sector and will be exported to other countries, generating economic benefits.
