Research Assistant at the Department of Economics and Finance Burçin ÇAKIR GÜNDOĞDU's study titled "THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19 IN THREE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES ON THE EUROPEAN UNION FINANCIAL MARKETS: EVALUATION OF THE YEAR 2020" was published in the book International Research in Economics and Administrative Sciences.

The introductory part of the study is as follows;

“From the past to the present, countries have faced many crises. These crises are often caused by macroeconomic vulnerabilities. The corona crisis, on the other hand, destroyed this general belief and showed that a virus can affect the entire world economy. It is still unclear how the starting point of this crisis, which no country has experienced before, will be. Another issue is the thought that the European Union member countries' acting alone while fighting the epidemic weakens the spirit of unity. In this context, the effects of the corona crisis have affected the European Union not only in terms of health, economy and finance, but also the idea of countries to stay together. Based on these explanations, the study is shaped on three basic questions.

1- Is it possible to solve the Corona Crisis with monetary and fiscal policies?

2- Is the European Union having an increasingly fragile structure?

3- Does the European Union Recovery Fund weaken the sense of unity between countries?

The study aims to seek answers to the above questions and make evaluations about them in order to observe where the European Union member countries are on the path to combating the epidemic.
