The media award ceremony, which was held for the 9th time this year, was held face-to-face with the improvement of the pandemic conditions. The award ceremony held at the University's Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall was attended by the arts, football and media community. At the ceremony, in which awards were presented in 52 categories in total, the awards were presented by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdülkadir Gayretli, Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin and university lecturers.
The newly appointed Rector Prof. Dr. In his speech about the event, Bahri Şahin said, “We could not distribute our awards due to the intervening pandemic. As a university, we want to be in contact with every segment of society. Media and artists are also one of our stakeholders. We will continue to cooperate with our stakeholders from many sectors and fields. Together, we want to contribute to solving the problems of society. Today, we are here to reward both our successful artists and important names in the media community. Ingenuity is subject to compliment.” said.
As a result of the survey conducted with 35 thousand students of Istanbul Gelişim University, it chose the Market Desk program as the best economics program. Tahsin Akça, the editor of the program, received the award given to the program.
